I’m a sucker for stories of the old days. The tales my grandfather used to tell me about the war, National Park the Groote Peel, and peat cutting are especially dear to me. He passed away quite some time ago, so I’m sure I’ve romanticized his stories. Still, this very train track in this exact spot has featured in his stories. Who knows, it may have featured in other people’s stories as well!
